Priorities for the Year
These have now been agreed by Governors and are as follows:
1. Increase the effectiveness of curriculum delivery by ensuring that ‘best practice’ becomes ‘common practice’ in terms of:
· meeting individual needs;
· enthusing and engaging students;
· assessment;
· incorporating and delivering ‘essential skills’.
2. Ensure that we are a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in provision at 16+ in terms of:
· value-added measures of student achievement;
· maximising opportunities;
· supporting students.
3. Develop a more inclusive curriculum structure providing opportunities for, and meeting the needs of, all.
4. Develop relationships and practice throughout the school in such a way that all who work and learn here are encouraged and helped to:
· take increasing responsibility for their own lives and learning;
· listen to, and learn from, one another;
· understand and respect one another;
· support one another;
· develop self-confidence, positive attitudes and positive behaviours.
