Please note that the school and the Local Education Authority consider that the comparison of schools on the basis of examination results can be seriously misleading in the absence of a wide range of other information. It must be remembered that the ability range and distribution of cohorts of students will vary from year to year. Thus an upward movement of raw score results should not necessarily be interpreted as an improvement in school standards any more than a dip should be seen as suggesting declining standards.
